Yvette,
Oh the joy of such a kiss in such a restricted syllable verse!
That sense of touch caresses 'my tongue' - oh so cold.
Coincidentally, I have Jack painting windowpanes in my recent non-entry 5-7-5 verse.

This 3-5-3, Mmmm. The Taste of Winter's Passion, has the proper formatting and makes it a personal conquest to swap snow kisses with Jack. Nice.

Very nice 3-5-3, Anonymous Poet.
Good use of metaphor in comparing fresh snowflakes on the tongue to a frigid kiss from old Jack Frost himself.
Your accompanying picture depicts something I think we all did as kids. At least those of us who lived in colder climates where it snows.
I wish you luck in the contest.

Manna from heaven! Free ice lollies! Loved doing this as a kid. Wouldn't mind it now, either. Just over 100F outside at the moment. Even hotter last week.
The softness of the assonance in melt/caress/kiss is perfect for your poem.

I like in a tropical country and had my first experience with snow in 2011 winter when I visited the States. Ooh, it was wonderful... And so I appreciate your 3-5-3 poem about Mr Jack Frost's kiss. Romantic and light.
Best of luck in the contest.

You've communicated so much with such a small amount of wiggle room. The photo is perfect, and the winter theme fits the cold front descending on the U.S. right now.Good luck with your contest entry.
