It sounds like a serene and romantic place to begin a strong and abiding love relationship. It is always good to see love and beauty in the eyes of your spouse, It probably is a reflection of what she receives.

(I think there should be a ribbon placed on the poem marking that achievement) and second, I'd like to say this is absolutely beautiful. I adored how you used the river as a metaphor carrying the theme from first verse to last, wrapping the love details around that beautiful scene. Your use of language is exceptional and the music of the poem sings like nature's music. I think this is a truly amazing poem and I am not at all surprised it was honored by the committee.
