Beautiful poem! There's nothing like sitting at a breakfast table and watching the bird feeder to make your day. The picture captured the sentiment as well. Nice job!

Summer or winter, I enjoy watching the birds flock to my feeder. I am glad you enjoyed this poem. Rod

I enjoyed your Kyrielle with its regular lines, rhymes and repeats. I enjoyed the scenes you described and your alliteration of "f''s" and "r's" to intensify them. Best wishes in the competition- Joan

Your poem is a bird lover's delight to read. And your kyrielle form is in perfect iambic tetrameter with the ending repeated lines. Each stanza shows different aspects of how the feather friends are welcome from the Christmas wreath home, birdhouse and ample food!

Such a delightful poem, expressing precisely, in every detail my love too for
my feathered friends. From where I sit here, I see the robin, sparrows, blackbird,
wren, blue tits feeding from the seeds I put out on windowsill and on round wicker
table. Under the top it has a smaller 'shelf' on which I put a plate with seeds, so even when the top covered with snow (today), the plate is not, so they won't go hungry.
Each spring the swallows return.
You stuck perfectly to format of Kyrielle, without appearing 'forced'.
I must check out my 'fan-list', because I don't automatically receive poems from you, although I believe you are a fan. Reading your review set me wondering.
Anyway, really love this poem and picture.

Hi Sue. Many thanks for sharing ALL FEATHERED FRIENDS and your kind praise. I, too, find ways to keep the feeder full in this foul weather. You get a bigger assortment of birds than I do. I tend to enter blind contests when I post so my fans are not notified. Rod

Hi Rod,
Thank you for response and I think I understand why you are inclined to enter blind contests! Say hello to your birds from me, Susan

Oh, this is such a beautiful Kyrielle poem!
I love your repeating line, 'All feathered friends are welcome here'.
Love your background color and green font, both which accentuate the colors in the artwork.
I love my birds, too, watching them everyday at their feeder. Loved how you talked about your new bird tenants.
Thank you for sharing ... this is a GREAT contest entry :)

This kyrielle, All Feathered Friends Are Welcome, has the proper formatting and shows the readers a home for birds that encourages their visitation and homestead.

Hello Mystery Writer!
As a bird lover myself, I so enjoyed the content of your Kyrielle. Words flow smoothly creating a perfect picture of nature's harmony in your yard. I had to smile when I read about the robins building a nest in a Chrismtas wreath. Every year - either on the wreath I made hanging on our front door or the wreath I mad hanging on the side door - Purple finches and/or robins delight us with two or three broods! We are definitely a noisy bunch around these parts in the Spring and Summer!
Best Wishes!

It is so nice to know your wreaths attract inhabitants too, Diane. Many thanks for sharing ALL FEATHERED FRIENDS. I truly appreciate your kind praise.

This poem conjures up lovely mental images of the bird lover interacting with his/her feathered friend visitors. I particularly like that the robin redbreast has chosen the Christmas wreath as its residence. Nice touch.

Thank you so much, Lisa, for sharing ALL FEATHERED FRIENDS and your kind praise. My wife had tad taken down the Christmas decorations late and thrown the wreath in the backyard. A few weeks later the robins were nesting in it.

This kyrielle is impressively-created in every respect: the theme is descriptively
and appealingly conveyed and the rhyming and metrical patterns are accurate.
Birds certainly can brighten our lives, can't they?

They do even when it?s frigid. I just have to fill the feeder and they flock to it. Many thanks for sharing my poem and your very kind praise, Janice.

This has such lovely imagery. I love to read poems out of season, it really gives me hope. The repeating line is perfect. The one line that does not fit as well as the others is "in Christmas wreath removed too late."

I truly appreciate your response to ALL FEATHERED FRIENDS and your kind praise. My wife had delayed taking down our Christmas decorations, especially the wreath on our front porch. When she did, she threw it against the fence in our backyard and a few weeks later there were birds nesting inside.
