Evening, Ron
How bloody true!
Most people can count, surely! lol
It is frustrating and I'm sure that many of us feel the same way as you do.
The problems arise when we are left in limbo as to when we should consider promoting our work.
Anyway...
According to God 'Kyrielle' you have adhered to all of his rules and there is nothing I see to change.
Well done for getting placed
kind regards

Hey, Tracey, hi. Thank you for the great review. Yeah, that's the biggest part of it, no one sees it when it's in limbo, wasting the promotion unless it's clear up on the front page. I was in a 2 10 2 and someone got it wrong. Geez. Congrats to you as well on your big first placer in the limerick contest. I was catching up but didn't quite get there, lol. Have a great day, T

'I hope we all can count to eight' ... I'll be singing these words all week (LOL).
I so much enjoy good poetry that makes me laugh. This is a winner, for sure :)
What a great presentation! Love the all the black; LOVE the photograph (do I see a smirk deep behind those belittling eyes?)
Excellent Kyrielle ... with perfect 8 syllable lines!!! OMG ...; how did you do that? (LOL)
'crappin' hard' ... haven't heard that in a long time :)
What a perfect contest entry!!

I like your poem and think it's rather humorous, and it does read well. I got a little tripped up on the first line of the last stanza because I got confused at first with all the numbers, but that may just be me, and besides I still figured it out. I feel like maybe your title could use a question mark at the end since it is a question, and I'm a bit confused how the picture fits, other than they look mildly annoyed. I do like how your repeating line moves with each stanza, I think that's cool.
Good luck with the contest.

Thank you for the great review, Samantha. Yeah, the picture was to represent the discontent of the meaning of the piece. Lol. The site has different contests and a couple of them are the 1-6-1 syllable contest and another is the 2-10-2. But sure enough some people manage to mess them up somehow. That always prolongs the contest from going to the booth until they fix what should have been right in the first place. I really appreciate the generous stars, S. Thank you again. Have a great night.

Thank you for your feedback.
I thought the rules for contests just say that you'll be disqualified if you break the rules? Besides, it would be much simpler if they were, rather than making everyone else wait.

This kyrielle, Will This Prompt Go Swiftly to Booth, has the proper formatting and hopes in vain that everyone will get it right. What should be the positive side would be that getting the prompt wrong would mean that person doesn't win. But that's not always the case.

Thank you for providing a pleasant smile and a knowing smirk, as I have several times corrected people on their word or syllable count in my reviews. This poem is well-written, funny, enjoyable and true to life. Your rhymes work very well and, not surprisingly, each line has the perfect syllable count. (I guarantee you that each person reading this poem checked to make sure of that.) Good luck in the contest.
