This poem, Birds of the Antelope Valley Air, enters with the seemingly common interest in birds, but we find it's jets that are admired so very much. Neat.

A very well-written rhyming poem about the birds flying over your home every day, that interests you and you like to see them come and go, where I live there is seldom such birds flying around except a few locals that are having such birds flying over on occassion.

A commendable presentation in the "Commentary and Philosophy Poetry" category, George! I read your profile--a "Salute!" Certainly, hope your health issues are flying off into the "Wild Blue Yonder." Welcome back to FanStory and God Bless.
Respectfully, Bill.

That write expressed well the poet's fascination and admiration of different kind of birds. The poem is very descriptive, its words and unique style gives a sense of freedom.

You wish to be a bird and fly like birds in the sky and wish to enjoy life as you have seen some birds of the Antelope Valley Air, more than birds; well said, well done. Keep Writing Inspire Changing -- DR ALCREATOR

I like this poem, and I am not quite sure why. I think that your last line did it to me, particularly the words "salute" and "worry." Your respect for and love of those airmen is touching.
You express your feelings so well. Your rhyme scheme is excellent and your words heartfelt. Good job.

a salute to them.
Comment from country ranch writer
We sit and watch the planes on a daily basis here just to have something to do. I nicknamed them sky people for they leave the vapor trails in the sky. Nice picture for your poem.
