Lovely writing piece...you captured so much in one sentence. That's the reality of life as years go by...Great picture that makes the poem complete. Congratulations!

This 1-6-1, Yep, That Was Another Lifetime Ago, has the syllables in the right place and peeks in on our elders observing the joys of rest.

Wow, you are so impressive -- this is a wonderful 1-6-1! Didn't we all wait on dawn at one time or another when we were young and in love? What a great poem, filled with the sweet ambiance of youth.

What a poignant portrayal of that photo. I think that I will dwell on the humor of your words and the photo. I bet you win this contest. I will go vote. This one is deserving. It's hard to be moving and humorous, but you did it.

There's another author on here that we joke with each other about "Going through one another's closets" .... you are in my closet, aren't you, MQ? LOL! :) Well, don't worry...I'm going through yours first thing in the morning! :) ;) I'm signing off for the night right now though -- the teenagers wore me to a nub today! :) ;) LOL! Take care! :)

A very well-written 1-6-1 poem about lovers who come along more than one season and are still close and deeply in love with one another, nothing can seperate them while they are together.

A bit of self-deprecating humour here, that will probably strike a chord with quite a few. It reminds me of my slightly different attitude to 'seethe New Year in' these days! Good luck with this one in the contest.

This is a super sweet poem for the 1-6-1 contest. I enjoy photos of older couples. It reminds me of the possibilities. I like that this rhymed so well. Good luck in the contest.
