This is an outstanding entry in the 1 6 1 rhyming poetry contest. Not only were the number of syllables and rhyming correct, the image matched and enhanced the poetry. All the senses were touched by this superior work of art.

Thank you so much for the positive response..It took time to find the pic but when I saw this one I yelled in triumph "Bingo "!
..it was exactly what I was looking for to illustrate the 1-6-1 ..the gru looks like it is launching itself into the bright ,blue sky.

I was the last to enter..The 1-6-1 is very simple but I really do think that the pic (this time) enhances the 8 word poem.

Honestly speaking I'm not so good at long poems and I enjoy the challenge these short poems offer. Choosing the right pic is defintely important in this format,too.
Thank you so much for the praises..there is nothing more encouraging than to know that a poem made a good impression on the reader.
