Thank you for the great review and support, Tracey. Yeah, I was in one of those silly moods, lol. Too many people being too serious on here. Gotta throw something humorous in there once on a while. I'm glad you liked this ridiculous piece. Thank you again. Have a great night.

Congratulations, Dragonskulls!
Wonderful fun! I laughed aloud at your well-crafted story's ending.
Now...just in case no one has mentioned this to you, you have written "know" where "known" should be: You've know (known) this all your life.
And my MS Word count = 98 words... Kind of odd, yes?

Enjoy your day!

Thank you for the great review, Diane. No, you're the only one to point that out about the 'known.' Thank you. I fixed it. As far as the word count, I think when you use a word counter it counts the words that have ellipses between two words as one word. I think that must be what's going on because I definitely have 100 words. I counted and recounted numerous times, and once more after this review. I think the committee would have threatened me with disqualification if it had been incorrect. Whenever I write a story that counts words, I write lines that have exactly 10 words per line as not to get the count wrong. Then separate them as needed afterwards. I don't trust the online word counters. Lol. Thank you for the generous stars and congrats, Diane. I'm glad you had a chuckle at this silliness.

    Hi Ron!
That's a really good idea about writing ten words per line! I don't trust the online word counters, either. I remember Michael Cahill sharing with me to always use MSWord, so that's my go-to word counter.

Have a wonderful day; huge storm brewing up here in northern Michigan. Too cold to even attempt the "Hokey-Pokey!" :)

Sorry to hear that. I grew up in Ohio so I know all about that cold stuff. That's why I live in Florida now. Lol. Now my biggest fear is hurricanes. I hope everything turns out okay for you. Try to stay warm.

    ;)

    Oh...no worries!
    We're warm and safe!
Huge pot of coffee brewing and a pot roast is bubbling away for later on! Life is good!

Very nice job, sustains the readers interest. Picture lends to the story line. Good suspense, has the reading wondering what the answer and then the surprise ending. In times of stress I always try to turn around. Thanks for a fun read.

Funny, outlandish, and gut-wrenching prose.
It the meaning of life wrapped up in the wisdom of the ages.
Sometimes we look for the meaning of things...and it's right under our noses.
Great stuff!

Hi mystery writer. I read this quasi religious write with interest. Then I worked it out.
The irreverence to religious mumbo jumbo I like, and is just up my street. I like the picture of some crackpot guru enjoying the mountain view (better than working) what. lol.
Yes lets all do the Hokey Pokey. Heh! Heh!

This is an inspired piece of work, and I reluctantly award it a sixer, my own entry notwithstanding. Well, there is a possibility of second place, I suppose.

Wow, thank you for the great review and the big sixer, Don. I sure didn't plan on seeing a six for this silly piece. You made my day. This is actually for today's daily prompt. So far I'm the only entry so jump on in. You never know how the voting's going to go. Some folks might not find this all that funny. I, on the other hand, had a good chuckle writing it. Thank you again, Don. Have a great rest of your weekend.
