And just which "pink cheeks" would we be referring to here, Anonymous Poet, heh-heh?
The ones at the top, or those at the bottom?

heheehhehe :D plump naked ladies? i'm guessing naked lady is a kind of flower. this is an excellent poem and i love the title you gave it. good luck in the contest :)

    Thanks for your great review rating. As you'll see below the poem in my author's notes, it explains that Naked Lady is a common name for the Amaryllus flower.
    I'm glad I gave you a bit of a chuckle.

Thank you for sharing. Robert Frost once said "Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words." It would seem to me this continues to ring true. What interesting visual images you are creating here! I also appreciate the author's notes, where I almost always learn something new.

    Robert Frost had it spot on in explaining what Poetry is, and I try to capture that essence myself, although still very inexperienced at writing poetry. Your comments are very encouraging.

I really like how you characterize these blooms as "naked ladies cavorting in the garden." Because of their pink cheeks I can visualize them as Rubenesque nymphs. May I suggest changing your title to the actual name of the flower so the reader doesn't' have to rely on the picture or your notes?

    How interesting that you imagined Rubenesque nymphs... I love art and I also imagined them as figures from a painting.
    I take on board your change of title comment, although that would give the game away immediately perhaps.... let people imagine humans before they grasp it is about flowers.

This a very lovely verse that is accompanied by some of the most beautiful Naked Ladies I have seen.. the colors are so vivid. Well done on flower choice and presentation.

    I am trying to work out how to use the advanced editor so i can make the font size larger and my presentation can be even better.

If there was no artwork here then my imagination ran a little riotous! But since this is about the flowers then I shall calm down and not think this is about a nudist camp. A sweet innocent poem about the flowers in the garden, I wish you luck with the contest, love Dolly x

    I entered but then thought maybe the contest entry should be about a single flower, not a plural group.
