Nothing against any other poems in the competition, but how did you not win first prize???? If ever anything expressed true love without using the word, it was your poem. This is so beautiful and touching and soulful. The poem reads very smoothly, and all your rhymes work beautifully.

Thank you for your kind words. The winning poem had a different style then mine..but it was very good and I was a fan of it. You win some, you lose some..I just like it when I place in the top three. It makes me happy. That and wonderful reviews like this one. Thanks again. :)

I read the winning poem, and it was lovely, but the romance came through in the last line. In your poem, it radiated through every line. I fully agree with you that it's very rewarding to win, place or show. Any winning position is a testament to your talent. I just personally felt this poem deserved better. Congratulations, though, on your second-place win.

Hello Author, I will say, that is very nice. The cadence is perfect and it's almost shaped like a perfect vase, but for a couple of lines, it could be a shadow poem!
