The door, if it had been put in, had to be behind one of these metal racks. I threw my hands up into the air and glared angrily at the roof. "A little help now and then wouldn't be such a bad idea!"--:-D HA HA HA LOVED this part!!

What an exciting, on the edge of my seat, read. I really enjoyed this. I'm so happy she got sent back. Excited to see what happens next.

Great writing. Fun read.

It would be nice if the ladies got a break now and then, poor dears, lol. The story is very well-written, interesting, got my attention, in the beginning, held it to the end. The dialogue and characters seem real. Great job as always.

very nicely written, kept my intrigued until the end and wanting to know the answer to "What the hell do we do now?". This is the first writing of yours I have read as I have just recently rejoined after several years, so some parts were hard for me to follow having no real background of the story, but the writing it self has a great flow. Thanks for sharing.

Hi there, thank you so much for coming along and reading this part, and welcome back to FS. Basically, Veronica and Mildred are time travellers, but not of their own choosing, but because the Powers-that-be chose them. Although, now they are enjoying sorting out irregularities in the time lines. This one started in 1905, when the suffragettes were protesting. The reason they were sent to this time was to get to know 'Gladys' and her Vice Admiral husband. We then leap into 1915 during WW1, where we learn Gladys was murdered by her husband. Gladys' son is now a doctor in the hospital near the centre of London, and being bombed from Zeppelins. Veronica later finds herself back in her own time 1996, but it's a parallel world, showing her what her assignment is. She has to stop the time line changing, because in it, the Germans won, there was no WW2, and everything has changed. Veronica's husband and children don't exist... She discovers it's the Vice Admiral fault, he changed a major battle at Jutland and by doing so all his ships were lost along with thousands of men. Veronica has to stop him.

That is a small snippet, and I hope it gives you a sense of what is happening. Thank you again, and I hope to see more of you and your work. :)) Sandra xxx

I enjoyed this chapter, Sandra. You filled it with good action scenes, good info about the plot, and great interest along the way. I liked the part about the door in the hospital that Veronica found in the plans. I see no changes. You certainly created a cliffhanger in the end. Good job and thanks for sharing. Jan

You bust the door down! What do you think? LOL
I'm sure those two can figure it out. We know it happened because James and Veronica read about it on the computer.
They will be successful in evacuating the hospital in time to save everyone. Thank goodness she was able to get there in time to show Mildred the way. Well done Sandra. Nancy:)

That's it! LOL! Thanks Nancy. That was the thing, Veronica had to get there to let Mildred know and to help her find a way to get the patients out. They just could do without the obstacles in the way considering the time they have to do it in. Thank you, my friend, for another lovely review. Hey, you got through December without any health problems this year!! That was good. :))) Big hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

This is good and flows well from the last chapter. The time travel kicked in as soon as she found the plans for the underground connection. I wonder why she didn't know about the door being locked or where to find the key. Reading these chapters you have me asking questions, which is good, but one reason I don't really like time travel. If you are going back in time from the future you should know the answers and not have questions. That actually makes me remember Bill and Ted's adventure, the first movie. They talk about going back and doing something after it was already done. Any way, very well done again.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing this part, I'm pleased you liked it. There are only a few things the internet or history books can reveal about things in the past. It's not going to know whether or not a door is locked unless someone specifically mentions it. Something that trivial wouldn't be mentioned if they knew it had been opened or another route was taken. But, although the questions are coming, not only from you, but from the characters as well, the answers will come because as each problem arises, so it will have to be solved one way or another. I hope that sort of explains things. :)) Thanks again! Sandra xxx

Finally! You sure succeeded in making this chapter a page turner. Good job! Ironically, I just recently read about St. Paul's Cathedral (I'm pretty sure it was St. Paul's) being the only building left standing in a bombed out area of London. It sustained a little damage but nothing like the rest of the area.

Yes, it was hit during both wars, but not a lot of damage occurred in both cases. I was always amazed that the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace weren't destroyed either. Thank you so much for the lovely 6 stars, Diane, and this lovely review. I'm so pleased you are enjoying my story. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Heavens, did you build in tension here, Sandra!

I was on the edge with Veronica about the time and that door and where on earth it would lead. I can't tell you how huge my sigh of relief was when things eventually worked out.

Great write, as always.

What a lovely review, Aki, thank you so much. I like it when I get the two ladies together, but I have to split them up sometimes. Thank you so much for the six stars, my friend, I really do appreciate you. :)) Big hugs, Sandra xx

Hi, Sandra,

This was lovely and while the incidents described were not - you have deftly managed to build the tension by the time constraints and the reader was just as relieved to be back in time as Veronica was.

I loved this sentence, 'The lift juddered to a halt and Mildred pushed the gate open.'

Great as always - thank you for sharing. Looking forward to more - as always,

~patty~

Oh my goodness Sandra, I am gobsmacked at both the speed at which you are writing and your enviable imaginative work. A good cliff-hanger ending wetting the readers' appetites, eager for more. In addition you are actually planning ahead - another book for Eric. There's no stopping you. Warm regards Dorothy xxx

I'll be emailing you later to see if you've published or not. Thank you so much for the lovely 6 stars, my friend, you are always so kind! I like to keep my mind busy, Dorothy, Eric wants me to put him inside a computer game as one of his adventures! He doesn't ask for much, LOL. He'll be going to Egypt next, in the days of the pharaohs. Seeing as I've already been jotting down notes. Thanks again, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx
