I knew it was a bad idea to start putting ideas into a robot!! The trouble is, they do exactly what we program them to, and our brains do actually what we are really meant them to do! Does that make sense? Lol. Love this one. :)) Sandra xx

This is why we fear AI. We would be inferior when human life isn*t paramount.

Well, now that is certainly a very real futuristic scenario given exploration of life beyond earth -- and, yeah, it was dark humor, but it was still kinda funny.:) :) Thanx for sharing your unique dialogue only write! :) Please forgive the 'tardiness' of my response -- as I said earlier, first week back always sucks away any 'spare time' I may have on a regular basis. :) Take care - Yvette :)

Whoa! Well, she did say that she would rather not be killed in her sleep. Better be careful of what you ask for, you might get it in a way you did not expect. I know I was certainly surprised to see her get in such a way.

Surprise is my thing.

LOL! Now that's what I call compliance. Scary how machines are all logic and take things literally and yet we rely on them more and more. I've often wondered if, say in a factory, where all but one worker are machines. The human has a heart attack. What, if anything, do the machines do? Great tale you have here!

This is a very interesting, but very strange short story you have penned. You used very good dialogue, very good imagery with your words and very nice imagery from the art work you chose. Blessings, Teri

Boy, that robot needs to be reprogrammed. It's a little too literal. I wonder if you want to use "gills" or "ounces" for your liquid measurement because "grams" are for weight.
Interesting dialogue-only short story. Wish I knew what they looked like.

How many grams are in a liquid gallon?
The answer is 3785.4118. We assume you are converting between gram [water] and gallon [US, liquid]. You can view more details on each measurement unit: GRAMS or GALLONS The SI derived unit for volume is the cubic meter. 1 cubic meter is equal to 1000000 GRAMS, or 264.17205124156 GALLONS.

I do not understand what this is...but it is fascinating. I wasn't expecting a story. Is there more to it? No, dumb woman, it says short story. I could read a lot more though. Sad type of reality for some situations. You are very versatile.

Most welcome, fine writer.

This is a stark story, well-told. The cool reasoning of what appears to be a robot meets the humanity of Botomama, who has not realised her own predicament, and makes a rash statement. The simple logic of the machine is brutal. Well done.
