Thank you for participating in this fun quiz and letting us get to know you better--even your actual name! I cannot imagine your having been "a difficult child" or trying to commit suicide. Kudos for your newsworthy efforts and your talent show trophy too. Smiles- Joan

Thank you Joan. Actually, the false statement is the car. It was my Uncle's, but I sure wanted one.

Good to meet you, Tom! I'm sure glad you found a better use for that belt than your dad. But you seemed to have survived childhood okay and even was hero.
My guess in #3 is that only the first is false.
Thanks for sharing from your wonderful life adventures and congrats on the talent show!

Tom,
Wow! You have led a really 'sparkly' life, haven't you? *smile* I am soooo glad you decided to participate in this quiz -- they're fun because they help us learn more about our FanStory friends.
As to the lie -- I can't believe you are old enough to have that many grandkids and ggkids!!
So, hurry and tell me!
Thanks, again!

Jerusalem in the time of Christ would have been interesting.
I do not think you ever tried to commit suicide.
Your answer to the talent part of the quiz reveals that you are a man of many talents/ Patricia

You have had a very interesting life. I like your answers better than mine so I'm going to change mine to yours. I'm also going to plagiarize some of your stories.

I enjoyed your answers to the quiz, Tom. It seems comic books have an intense draw to young kids for stealing them. Congratulations on saving your friend's arm with a (turnicate). Hmmm! Spell-checker says this is wrong. Bit I believe it has the 'r' in it. Maybe I am pronouncing it wrong. Good job and thanks for sharing. Jan

I don't think there is anything wrong with a little healthy scepticism. It is probably better than being overly ingenuous.
Corporal punishment was the norm when we were lads. My old headmaster used to recite this little ditty 'A boy, a dog and the old birch tree / the more you beat'em the better they be.' Either of the first two would land you in trouble these days.
Sounds like you have been a legend in your own lunch hour, Tom. Well done with the first aid.
As for the lie well any of them could be but i'll go for the botched attempt at suicide.

Thank you Jim. Teachers back then were very handy with a ruler or a wooden pointer. You are wrong, the car was my Uncles, but I always wanted it.

I am actually quite glad to be wrong in this instance.

This is cool. It is getting to know the writers on Fan Story. I wonder if it is hard to go from writing business journals to writing a fictional book?

This is an interesting chapter, this shows the personality of the character. I like the way the words flow nicely. By the way, this is the first time, i read a quiz question.
