Excellent and well said. So glad you are writing and reading. Anything of mine you read, I would more than welcome your comments/feedback. Right now the two posting I have up for contests are Little Wiffette and Tick Tick. Please give a read and let me know what you think if you haven't already. I prefer to write Flash Fiction. I love the challenge of writing a complete and interesting story in a few words.

Sounds great! I'm just now trying Flash Fiction. I write narrative essays mostly. I have a couple flash ones. They are fun.

I read this, and when I close my eyes I can see flurry of butterflies causing an internal anxiety. This poem is highly descriptive. My only confusion is where the sand comes into play... but this is not my story.

Thank you! I access a note for that. It's basically the instability of things that cause anxiety. Hence the sands. Thank you!!

Oh wow! I WAS going to enter this one but now I'm scared! This is a really terrific example of tight, beautiful, emotional writing - a real challenge in only 20 words. Well done!

You've certainly captured a sense of anxiety here, with words and a rhythm that seems like it SHOULD make sense but the words refusing to play along, something clearly WRONG but entirely impossible to decide precisely what that could be.

Fun stuff. (If Anxiety is your thing.)

This twenty-word, five-line poem, Butterflies Upon the Sand, screams of anxiety with these crazy phrases like --well, gee, the whole thing. The quick collection of anxious images.
