This haiku, Nature's Perfume, has the short-long-short format and brings the subtle wafting of this essential oil to us in a few words that make me want to try it.

Hello seken,
I think this is my first time reading your poetry. That is a lovely picture that complements your message. I'm always happy to meet a haiku poet. I love the aha moments when done right. Your aha moment didn't disappoint. It brings the scent of lavendar to my nose :) I'm not sure about the word nanna, though. You might have to explain that one to me.
Sincerely Joy xx

Hi Joy,
lovely to meet you and thank you for reviewing.
I am an Aussie and over here grandmothers are often called nanna as Italian grandmothers are called nonna.
This allows for an ease of understanding about which grandmother is spoken of- grandma or nanna.
I especially like to be called nanna.
I hope this clarifies your question.

My nose is tingling for that whiff of Lavender. A gorgeous composition, blending image and verse in this wonderful 4-7-5 formatted poem that without the capitalization would make an excellent haiku.

Comment from Gloria ....
I do so love lavender too, Shirley, not only to see fields of it grow, but also the wonderful things you can make from its blooms.
This is terrific and brings a smile. :)

I could smell the lavender oozing from your words and this is such an exquisite presentation. Lavender smells so pure and natural and I have a lavender plant in a pot on my front porch, love Dolly x
