Good use of literary allusion to the Emma Lazarus poem to make the most impact with the limitations of the 5-7-5 to make a strong statement! And I like the "compassion denied." There has to be a better way to protect immigration laws.

Thanks for the insightful review. There must be a better solution in that everyone wins. I love walking around Montreal in the summer and experiencing glimpses of other countries, just by walking through the areas that immigrants have made home. We have always been proud to welcome immigrants and refugees to Canada. It is friggin' cold, but I guess the benefits, safety and warm coats helps with their transition. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and thanks again for your warm and helpful reviews. Cheers, Judy

What has our world come to these days so much hate and discomfort shown to so many people why can't they just all get along. We are supposed to be a country of hope and charity.

I know, it just breaks my heart. There must be a solution that works for everyone. I know that it begins with compassion. Canada seems to do well embracing and welcoming immigrants. My polar bear has melted into a little rodent after the rains. Next snow storm he will rise again. Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and thanks once again for all your warm and generous reviews, cheers, Judy

I love the intensity and directness of your satori line, coming in line one...very powerful--and so sad and tragic. Well depicted. Great presentation too. Fine composition style, flow and phonetics (L sounds in line two and S and T in line three sounds great read aloud).
Impacting. Bravo.

Thanks for your insightful (as always) review. Just find it sad that a nation that prides itself on it's Christian values would treat those in obvious need with such aggression. Yes, the refugee and immigration situation needs a closer, intelligent and compassionate review, but in the meantime, could we just be a little more aware and generous? Especially during this Christmas season. The irony is not lost on me. Thanks for encouraging me with each and every one of your concise and generous reviews. I am hugging you from here, namaste, judester

Hugging you back! Yes, we need more compassion in the world in general--and selflessness! I try to practice both as much as possible, especially here on FS!
Lots of love,

I believe that you are most compassionate and mindful, but how can I remain inkless with all that trump does..daily?
We can only be responsible for our own actions and behavior, so I dull the poking stick. ha ha. Have a peaceful sunday dear. j

It can also be mindful and compassionate to poke sticks in certain contexts!
Have a serene Sunday too!

Right to expression, freedom to express, right to fight is a democratic right, no question of compassion is tolerable, right to live is a human right; well said, well done. Keep Writing, Keep Inspiring -- DR ALCREATOR

Thanks for the review. I know many Americans believe a yuge wall is necessary to curb the problem of immigration, but it is an old fashioned method that time has proven, does not work. There are many other clever solutions to create a peaceful, regulated flow. Wishing you a Merry Christmas in the true spirit of our Lord. judester
