And yet he complains he never wins - at least not the site contests so perhaps you should try some of those. This is well produced written in ballad metre that is well maintained throughtout.

Hee hee--=-what a riot. Hilarious wit. I am sure Dean enjoyed this hugely. I did. Especially:
I beg to get my five bucks back
but Tom tells me it stays.
and:
The hope my work may stand a chance
is clearly just a ruse.
I'm sure his pics will move and dance
where all who challenge...lose.
and the clever closing:L
Kuchphobia is not a thing,
my therapists assure.
So any fear these prompts may bring...
there'll never be a cure.
A couple of optional suggestions:
The names are shown, the curtain's drawn,(;)
I bellow out in pain.
I'm sure his pics will move and dance(--)
where all who challenge...lose.
The rhyme of though and vote barely squeezes by as a slant rhyme (to my ear read aloud)...here is an idea;
I'll watch in fear as fans all vote,
amazed how numbers rise.
Reviews will wish me luck, but note:
those mocking words are lies
This is sure to win (unless Dean enters, that is! ha ha ha!)
It probably has my vote!
(Have to read other entries)
Enjoyed!

Thank you for the great review and the excellent suggestions, rd. But note works a lot better there. I changed all but the dash after dance. Not real sure what that is. I dearly appreciate the generous stars. I'm glad you had a chuckle at this silliness. Thank you again. Have a wonderful Christmas.

Comment from Dean Kuch
Mageirocophobia, or the irrational fear of cooks and cooking, can take many forms. Some people are only afraid of cooking for large groups, while others are afraid of whipping up scrambled eggs for themselves. Mageirocophobia is extremely common, although it is only considered a phobia when it is severe enough to interfere with daily life.
--Presentation Concerns - Some cooks are perfectionists. They may worry about how the food looks, whether the glasses are entirely spot-free and even whether the tablecloth is perfectly centered. This phobia seems to be triggered most often when giving a dinner party or otherwise entertaining at home. However, some cooks experience this even when cooking for a close family.
Most people with a fear of strangers cooking their food are actually afraid of one or more elements or possible outcomes of the cooking process. If your mageirocophobia is severe, however, you may have to seek professional help, or starve, whichever comes first.
A word of advice--avoid the finger food at ALL costs, heh-heh.
Best wishes to you in the contest, Ron.

Hahaha. Boy, they'd flip out over the five second rule at my house. Lol. "Or starve" too funny. Yes, that would be a bummer of a phobia to have, any way it goes with food. I never really thought anyone had fears like this. Wow. What a scary world this would be to have all different phobias like that. I was a little bit of a germaphobe when I was a kid but I got over that. I still remember the very first time I let my mom take a lick on my ice cream cone. That's pretty well when it ended. Thank you for the great review and big sixer, Dean. I really appreciate it. I'm glad you liked this silliness. Have a great Christmas, friend.
