Hi Yvette,
Congratulations on your win. Well deserved.
Fabulous poem and sensational photo and presentation.
A true work of art.
Your poem reminds me of what I should be doing in 2019 -
to spend my time with others, those important to me,
no matter how ordinary the task.
Thanks again,
Richard.

Thanx so much for dropping in for the read and review, Richard, and for those lovely stars! :) It's always good to have visitors around the place! :) :) LOL! I am so very glad you enjoyed my being sentimental just before the holidays when my "little boys" were all home for a few days! :) :) Happy New Year blessings to you and yours! :) Yvette

Yvette, congrats on first place. Excellent lune poem. It's amazing how those priceless memories often skip over the events and actions that led up to them. But any memory that I can pull up when I need a mental break has been well worth the effort getting there. Hope the New Year treats you and family well. Hugh

Thanx so much, Hugh, for dropping by on this one -- I guess I was feeling a bit sentimental with my 'grown boys' coming home for the holidays and this was the result! :) :) Always appreciate the time it takes to review -- Happy New Year from my corner of the world to yours! :) :) Yvette

Once again, I know no one reads this, but you've made me smile on the day before I leave for my in-laws....which, I must confess, is NOT an easy task!! :) Happy New Year to all of you....whoever 'you' are! :) :) :) Yvette

Hello Yvette, I love that you got your picture off of Care.com. it's so cute. A picture is worth a thousand words but can always use a little poetry to set it off. Yours does it justice. Beautiful words for a sweet picture.

Thanx so very much for your wonderful words of encouragement, Susan -- I had fun with this one! :) You know, as I see my 'little' boys more and more as the grown men that they are, I tend to get nostalgic and thankful that my husband and I poured so much into their lives when they were younger! :) Nothin's perfect, but nothin' ever is -- but the underpinnings are there!! :) ;) Merry Christmas Wishes! :) ;) Yvette

This is lovely lune and has the tune that sings from the heart, Yvette. Memories are a treasure that no one can take away except a lost mind, This is a good entry for the Lune Poetry Contest.

A heart felt message masterfully expressed in three short lines. Rare combination of words... and the outcome, gripping and endearing. A gentle lesson of building a father-son relationship of trust.

Like the picture you got for this one, and yes, memories can be priceless even if the construction does not stand tall -- the process rather than the end result? You always make me think. Merry Christmas, Yvette.

How right you are, don't we all look back in time, into our memories to reflect on certain moments? They build us and shape us and make us who we are... be it good times or bad, and beyond value. Excellent short poem with everyday philosophy content within.

This is a good one, Yvette. Good enough to win the contest if you ask me. Your words are priceless, and that photo is absolutely perfect. I don't think that I would capitalize the "p" in "priceless." Another earth shattering suggestion from MQ in Birmingham.
Otherwise, I would not change a letter.

Thanx for the suggestion, MQ -- gonna leave it capital -- only way I can think of to put emphasis on the word in such a short write...you're probably right about the whole thing....I tend to look at things a little differently since I'm not a real poet (physicists are weird anyway so, that just adds to the whole 'differently' aura -- LOL! LOL!)! :) ;) Hope your holidays are going well -- I have to 'sneak' off and get on the computer now with company here - LOL! :) Do my 'therapy writing' late at night when even the husband is sleeping! :) ;) Take care and Merry Christmas, B'ham Bud! :) :) Yvette
