"Mr. Wiggins went home with an over-flowing cookie basket..." ... I just have to ask, Anonymous Author. Is Mr. Wiggins married to Mrs. Wiggins of the Carol Burnett Show fame?
Nice "warm & fuzzy" story.
Best wishes to you in the contest.

What a very sweet little Christmas story. I love it. This is what I enjoy the most about the holiday season...we open our eyes and our hearts to look around and make a difference. Your story should do well in the contest. Good luck! :)

This is so precious for the children to reach out to this man and see his Christmas was a bit brighter. Nice work up for this poem.

One spinster teacher was remembered by her class in my school. She got snacks (and she needed them, that woman was scrawny) and useful items, and laughed until she cried at one prank gift, a set of knickers for a woman with an eighty inch derriere...excellent Christmas Flash Fiction!

Lovely thoughtful poem for this time of year. Simple words that mean so much to others less fortunate than ourselves. Best of luck in the competition and have a cookie for me. Cheers, Kev

This is a very heartwarming story. It would have been even nicer if someone would have invited him to join them for Christmas. Best wishes and good luck in the competition. Jen.

Your well chosen fifty words deliver quite an important message.
Christmas is a time for giving and sharing and remembering those who have little or nothing and no one to care.
Thanks for the timely reminder.
Blessings
