Interesting. A quick glimpse of Tempest's life. Clever how you tied the young wolf needing your care to feed on milk as a pup with her growing into the provider of milk later on in life.

A wonderful, sweet story of Tempest and her pups. The picture you chose was shrinking and probably a close resemblance to her. Animals are usually very devoted to their offspring guarding and caring for them. Humans can learn from such examples.
My one critique: Use paragraph breaks more. This makes it easier in the eye and will give you the higher ratings you deserve. Two or three in this short text would be fine.

I thank you so much for the stars and the review. I am truly humbled that this piece would receive your first six star rating. I sometimes refer to her as my sheep in wolf clothing, as she had such a sweet and gentle nature.

Sometime later, while raising her first litter, my Shar Pei, Wrinkles, also whelped her first.--For clarity sake, I think I might replace the pronoun 'her' with Tempest. Just a thought.
