I enjoy the authors work. She writes with feeling, and emotion.
The authors has something that is within which is troubling her.One wonder what it can be?
She should discuss her problem with a social Worker. The first verse is so touching. She is expressing what is going on in her life in words.
Have faith ,and Trust God. You will over come whatever, is on you mind.

Mr.Trump and his wall make me sick .. America over the decades has gone around so called defended the rights of oppressed people but we all know that America 's economics has always thrives on wars so I wonder really what true motives were /are behind America's "help" : to save innocent people suffering and defend their rights or for personal gain of power and wealth.
Maquin's father was trying to get to America the land of opportunity .. To offer a better life to his daughter and family but instead Trump doesn't want these people ...they are a burden and a little girl of seven paid the highest price..
When I see the lavish life he and his family live it makes me sick ..
I have nothing against Barron Trump actually I feel sorry for him ..
He grew up as a child in a unnatural environment in a golden palace where his mother washed him in caviar while kids like Jakelin Caal Macquin have nothing and are dying..
This wall Trump wants to build will cost 8 billion dollars ..money wasted...I can think of a more profitable way to spend that money.
I suggest Trump offers financial support to a poor country like Messico ..build schools, hospitals, roads , boost their economy , create jobs ....so that people won't need to leave their country anymore.
America will benefit in many ways too if Messico thrives.

Thank you for sharing your interpretation of Jakelin's story. It is horrible what is happening at the border. We all need to pray for these families that are only trying to get here to start a new life. (Just as generations of people have for years.)

Sad story, well written. It is hard to know how to feel and what to say. yeshua, Jesus said. "the prudent will be silent in those days." This doesn't mean we can't express our feelings. These are hard times.

Poor little girl died of sepsis shock . I don't know how her father must be feeling. He left Guatemala for a better life..

The father was said to not voiced any concerns and praised the efforts of CBP and had many opportunities to do so. Unbelievable, People's treatment is as if they are animals, herding them and cages included. God help us all for we're losing our humanity and brotherly love.
