Nocturnal Beacons of Christmas Time

A very well-written Trinet poem about the nocturnal beacons of Christmas. It is all about the light Jesus brings to the world. We can only follow the light in the darkness to find His love.

This poem traces the sombre yet glorious path of travellers. They are the Wise men on their journey to Christ! The narration unfolds the stages of the journey and the seemingly slow pace of it as well as the" space" you create in between these stages gives significance and spiritual substance to the journey. The images are very attractive and convey mystery. I would change" Astrologer Kings" to "Astronomer Kings" because that is what they were. ( Astrology is condemned in the Bible). Your last stanza is just glorious.

Arboraceous, huh?
Nice word...
Having said that, I felt this entire spiritually themed Trinet poem was an excellent two-stanza entry for the contest, Anonymous Poet.
Good luck to ya'.

Glad you liked it...weird words, remember? :) :) But there were three stanzas there.....are we just by-passing one of them for one reason or another? :) :) :) Thanx so much for the read and review, Sir Dean -- have a great week ahead!! :) ;)

Beautiful cross poems witnessing about Jesus.
You highlight the greatest story of all time.
Bethlehem's star
Nocturnal beacon
Lighting the way to Savior's location
Wise men welcome King of creation
We should all praise the Lord. Thanks for
sharing the Good News around the world.
Merry Christmas. flylikeaneagle - nancy

I just went through a whirlwind writing
my NaNoWriMo in November. My computer
expired, wouldn't accept WiFi or start. Then,
my stove and oven expired during baking a
pizza for hubby. His car expired, needed a new
radiator, etc, to $1200. Storms since I was
witnessing - Matt 28 and Isaiah 58 - to the world
in my story outside of Boulder, Colorado, USA.
I kept smiling and praising Jesus. Oh - finished
with 58,000 words in 21 days. Then, rewrote the beginning 20 pages for my college class challenge of Capstone. My characters helped me with this rewrite. Hope to enter these next year on FS. God bless.
I so like your poem. God's blessings, joy, peace,
health and great love to you all. nancy

This is a well-rhymed, well-timed, fine tribute. Tender and serene in tone! I love these lines in particular:
Lighting the way through arboraceous glen
Scintillating greeting for passing wise men
Following glimmers
Good phonetics in phrasing, throughout, especially the S, M G and L sounds in the above lines.
Bravo...Happy Holidays
Blessings,
rd

I love this! The artwork is fabulous! The theme the true meaning for the season. I especially liked the journey the reader takes through valley and village streets prior to finding Christ's location. Beacons...lighting the way to Christ. Love it!Follows Trinet format.

Nice work! I like the story of the wise men's journey guided by nocturnal beacons and how it mirrors the journey of Christians to this day. It fits nicely within the framework of the poem. Good use of form and imagery. Timely Christmas poem!
