I grew up and during most of my adult life, I had a dog or dogs. Many times I preferred their company to that of humans. Dogs never have a bad thing to say to you. This is a very nice tribute to your friend who has passed. Best wishes.

I have a seventeen-year-old Chihuahua named Gidget. She is, without a doubt, my very best friend.
I enjoy spending time with Gidget more than I do most humans I know.
You know, there's a reason that D-O-G spells G-O-D in reverse.
And remember...All dogs go to heaven.

That was absolutely beautiful and thank you Dean! What a wonderful video and I SO appreciate you taking the time to share it with me. I'm still "smarting" from sending my girl into the darkness she hated but it's getting better thanks to people who care like yourself.

So sorry on the passing of your dog. Very good poem and word flow. Interesting read, Dogs give more love than any others. Cat lovers may not agree but dogs simply know what your mood is.

This is a lovely poem full of personification of the natural elements. I have only recently adopted a dog and we have such joy together but i know from bitter experience that eventually one has to pay for that joy, the toll exacted by the rainbow bridge keeper.

Very sweet Charlene...one of my dogs is terrified of any kind of strange light, flash light, lightning, a candle, she's off under the bed. As a rescue, who knows what all that means!
