Twisted and a bit sad however taking everything into consideration rather accurate and quite attractive to offset any negativity. A great balance I enjoyed it thoroughly. Also I wanted to Nation you got to listen to the song Lovesick Blues by Hank Williams great song love, I Darren

Hi Darren, what a wonderful honor! The CHRISTmass celebration is still in my heart, but it?s losing its social charms to negative behaviors. There is so much to be thankful about, yet commercialism pushes materialistic love. Thanks again for a great review

Yes over the years Christmas has changed quite dramatically, the children still enjoy, but do they know why or feel for those who cannot afford to cheer or enjoy, the helping feeling is fading, very well done****kahpot

It is sad but your words ring true. Our world will one day bow before his throne and realize the mistakes they have made. We need to be more caring in every way. I try to find ways to encourage others. I hope you have a brighter day tomorrow.

Hi, Carolyn. I do get sad and angry at ?progress,?which basically means misery for many people. The true meaning of Christmas is being lost in the tsunami of greed. Even my son in his early forties, sees the down turn in worship. you sound like a very caring person. Thanks very much for your kind review.

Trisha

Well. I share your thoughts about "CHRISTmas" it not what is was and not what it was intended to be. Where is it now? Lost in greed, self interest and profit. It seems nothing more than an excuse for dinner together, which is a good family thing but still lost in the commercialism. Bah humbug, that's not me just what it seems to be. I try to do little acts of kindness even as little as a $1 in a red kettle. Peace

Rickie

Hi Rickie! In our hearts we each know what we do for others. It?s the larger picture which disgusts me. As for communication, if the gifts are electronic, that possible interaction will be diminished or obliterated.
I celebrate CHRISTmas in my heart. Thanks very much for your empathetic review

My goodness Buckelist
what a beautiful graphic to introduce your thoughts that some, Christmas is just another day. You are right what a shame that Christmas is now a shadow of the older style with religious following.

The graphic signifies how the old Christmas has been withering to commerce. It is HIS birthday celebration, not a stress event to count blessings in materialistic

Six star rating (but I have none) just for creativity alone. This is awesome. That must have taken you forever to get your shape so perfect.

More importantly, your poem made me realize how hard it is to have a merry Christmas. I find myself falling in the list of those who struggle with Christmas. Surely, if folks are honest, they will find themselves on the list as well. Of course Christmas is about the birth of Christ, but it has come to involve so much more. So much is expected of us.

Oh, well. Take comfort in your poem. It is simply good.

I need to talk to Tom about my credit account. My six star limit is way too low. I will tell him how indebted I am to you.

A very well-written shape poem about Christmas that became so commercialized that most of us are lost and cannot find any fun in the season. I bellieve to do our own thing away from any commercial pressure.

Love your presentation in the form of a Christmas tree, though as you say it's a time of year that brings out different emotions. Christmas has indeed changed if you let the retailers convince you, to spend big is to show love.
cheers.

Thank you for your interesting and complimentary review.. I hate the shift from emotion to commercial thinking. Especially for kids who lack the time and attention they crave. Its Christ?s birthday and commercial greed has reared its head.

Such wise and poignant words here Trisha and so true, your sentimental words resonating with me, Christmas means so many different things to different people and it isn't always a happy time for some, love Dolly x

Thank you for your interesting and complimentary review, Dolly. The generation gap is widening! We used to get nuts, fruit and small candy, in a pillow case. Then one gift was for each of us at breakfast time.

God's plans will always be greater or more beautiful than all our disappointments.
CHRISTmas has its plans for us.
The image completes this piece.

Thank you for your interesting review. Christ gave so much, and commmerce is taking away from that. Retail is enabling people to encourage taking and discontent with their kids. HIS birthday is now downplayed by many
