I did enjoy your 'le' rhyme endings.
And 'craft' with 'cookie' is excellent too!

'Shaping a smile' reminds me of when my Mom decorated her cookies. Thanks for those memories.

BTW ... I liked eating the raw cookie or cake batter from the beaters or with a spatula - apparently it never made me sick and it was so sweet and delish (-;

Hello Mystery Writer!
What a creative and fun cookie poem. Brings the joy of the season to the reader! And memories! Oh my memories of the cookies my mother could create at Christmas! She loved the old German recipes. She'd begin baking in November; I can still remember how the aroma of cookies filled our home...Thank you for sharing!
Best Wishes!

I really, really like this!
You chose the perfect artwork.
I think you also chose the perfect background color.
Font: I like how you chose the bigger font size; I like the font color.
I like the indented, staircase look of the lines of your poem.
I especially love the poem ... every word. Cookies are made for love and the lifting of spirits.
An excellent contest entry! I wish you the very best :)

A very well-written poem about the anticipation to have that Christmas cookies ready to eat. All the work is done, it take hours in front of the stove, we eat it up in a few minutes.

This is a creative piece do the contest! I enjoyed the little rhyme tossed in at the end. It helped the poem feel complete. 20 syllable's exactly is a hard task, but you did well. It made sense and sounded like a happy number. Great job and good luck!

I am so voting on this entry. I like the indentation in the beginning of each line, it shows you having a creative style of writing and organization. The color of the background reminds me of cookie dough :) Well done.

I think I'll shoot my TV if it keeps showing that gingerbread man playing Rock/Paper/scissors... looks like twenty syllables about cookies to me. Excellent.

National Cookie Day! And to think I just found out a few
hours ago! Your entry is delightful; I like the rhyme and
meter--and the indication that another cookie will be needed later.
