How lovely that they have found each other at last and can stay side by side for the remainder of their lives. The poem is a sweet reminder that Love is evergreen and never really dies. This is a sweet one, Connie. I like the dance motif that you use throughout. To dance stands for love, fun, companionship, letting others lead, creativity. It stands for so many things that this elderly lady was afraid to embark on. Her hesitancy is one of my favorite aspects of this poem. It makes it real. A new relationship must be hard when you feel that your time is almost done.

I really like how you use the dance as a metaphor for a relationship the Speaker is willing to begin, following the "lead" of her new partner. I especially like the Speaker's optimism.
