This is another fun entry for the contest. Despite having such strict limitations on syllable count, you were able to get the writers block frustration down pat. Great choice of words. The picture completes the story. Good luck in the contest.

A very well-written 5-7-5 poem about the muse that can become a stubborn child when we need his insight to help us being creative and refuse to answer any of our pleas.

I love Snoopy's efforts to write the great American novel, but I also appreciate the truism in your words. Many writers blame an imaginary muse for what they cannot do.

It's not fair to have Snoopy as an ally. lol
Those muses can be very troublesome
but Snoopy can turn to Woodstock whenever he needs help

It would be a sad day when Snoopy didn't have a story to tell. He had a very vivid imagination. Good choice for pic. If a writer acknowledges a muse is imaginary, can it ever provide an answer to writer's block? Probably not. As a technical note, your first line only has 4 syllables. You can add a word or change "didn't" into "did not" to meet the requirements of the contest.
