Five votes thus far and your poem's not even promoted, Mikey.
I'd say that was a pretty good return on your investment, wouldn't you?
Good luck...

Ha! Yep, that way if I win 8 bucks I still make a couple. I am beginning to wonder about this whole ANON business.though. lol

Hah, ya think?
The whole idea that a contest could be "blind" is ridiculous, at best.

This feels like ages with different perspectives which effect the skewed memories. The reader also has choices of eras which they would identify with more strongly. It is interesting how depending upon our age we focus on different aspects. The first is the childlike fantasy. It could be that the young person in the 2nd era didn't notice things because they were distracted with beginning adulthood. After maturing and settling down a bit they could notice again. The next wondering is natural as they don't visit much anymore. They are busy about many things.
When they finally revisit the ocean, personification is used to show how much the ocean missed the visitor. And then sadly the whole experience begins to fade. This is a well written poem. It is fodder for a longer story. I voted for this one.

Wow. I can't believe you actually understand what I'm getting at with this. That makes ONE of you. LOL
I can't tell you how pleased I am with your analysis and insights. It truly is enough to keep me writing what I want to write. I'm often discouraged because no one seems to have any idea what I'm getting at. It's tempting to write what I KNOW will do well and honestly I often do. But I'd rather write what I FEEL like writing. You know the rule, if ONE person gets this, than I'm happy.
I'm happy! Thanks a million. :))

When you say the same thing on every review it gives the impression you don't read the work and that's a drag for the reader.

This speaks about memories of school days when you had a sandbox, you thought of born and feeling safe and playing in and around sand, nowhere to go; well said, well done. Keep Writing -- DR ALCREATOR
