I hate to say I wasn't too surprised when they were both killed. That's what he deserved, wasn't it? You get what you dish out. Or you should, anyway. (haha) Or reap what you sow, I guess they say.

Ooh . . . I liked that twist at the end, how Jacob got his comeuppance for thinking up this idea in the first place. I thought that was very well done and I loved that last line which was so chilling. Good luck in the contest!

Liked this story. No dragging parts, clean and organized. Liked the twist of the assassin being hired by both sides. Reads a lot cleaner than a story about the Menendez brothers. Ain't love grand? Keep writing.

It's an interesting story line for a mystery/crime fiction theme. The image of them lying there in blood on their wedding day is pretty gruesome yet it happens in real life! (thankfully not all the time! LOL!) Sounds like you're enjoying writing this story and it shows; keep up the good work.
