What a lovely story. Nice work on the description of Manja -- her hair, her eyes, her skin, her fins. The telepathic conversation with the crab was delightful. Then the dolphin came to lead the way home. A fairy tale? Maybe. I think the crab was cool. Really good job.

Hi Jean, how sweet is that. A crab falling in love of an unattainable mermaid. Well, me being Danish, how can I not be drawn to this story. Hans Christian Anderson invented the story about her, after all, a major symbol and famous figurine of my country. I loved your story. All the best. Ulla:)))

Some beautiful descriptive verse here, vivid and lustrous. I could picture her lying on the beach quite easily. The interaction with the crab was fantastic. There were a few places that punctuation didn't lend itself to good flow, especially right at the beginning, but otherwise this is a beautiful little short.

There was a down to earth feeling about this one. Genuinely no strings attached, just a honest down to earth write, full of a softer feel, magical moments ingulging the senses. Even the part where it said " He told her he had once had a crush on her sister." Just highlighted a sense of real....as if two people speaking, relaxed, on a normal day.
I so enjoyed it, and wishing you the best with it.
Nicely done.
Best wishes.

Cute little fantasy love story of love lost. Maybe a forbidden fruitless love of two that can never be together due to life styles and circumstances. While these are cold blooded sea creature your story make them warm with emotions and appealing. Good job.

What a refreshing story. It's fantasy. It's romance. It's charming. I like your ending. Poor crab. He probably has no chance.
The only thing that I can think of to improve your story would be to include one of crab's stories, particularly the one about the incident with the human. You left me wondering. Of course, that is a good thing in itself.
Good job. Hope to see more of Manja.

I enjoyed your fantasy-fairy tale of Manja, the mermaid and the crab Prince. I just hope you can explore the possibility of extending the lives of these two wonderful creatures of your imagination. Thanks for sharing.

What a very cute short story. I like the rather apprehensive nature of the beginning when our heroine felt some sort of anxiety concerning her somewhat perilous situation. Beautfully written and designed, good effort, well done, blessings, Roy
Typo She(,) the beauty of the sea. 2: it all happened so sudden(ly)
