Hi, Craig,

The artwork is great, but it would have been perfect if the eyes showed that dazed effect where the irises are spinning round and round.

Watching the news is a game of chance - AND then, the news that could be controversial appears for a moment and then it disappears. It is maddening!

Oh, I so want to do that kaleidoscope eyes thing now, Patty, but I haven't got time today. Thanks for the most enjoyable review. Craig

I think many in this nation no longer believes in any 'absolute truth', just the morals of the day. This, in turn, confuses those who are seeking truth.
'Anfract' ... I like the way it sounds. I told myself I need to expand my vocabulary, and, here you are teaching all of us through your poetry.

I love the fake gnus idea. Every politician is lion. Everything th3y say is a croc. I get horse yelling about it. Is the President an ass. Oh, wait. That's the Democrats. The president is an asshole.

I can see you had a whale of a time with this one. Or were you just fishing for compliments? Either way, it doesn't bear too close scrutiny :) Thanks, Bill.

You're so right. Sometimes, we just can't imagine what is really going on as the news anchor speaks his anfract-like script. But mostly, they also hype what they WILL tell you if you just keep watching the ads. Greak word and great limerick to define it.

Finally someone has arrived at the incontrovertible truth--fake gnus. They actually look like zebras who are trying to pretend they are wild beasts when in fact they are only fake gnus.

Excellent introspection of your new words.

PS: Sanity isn't all it's cracked up to be anyway. ;-)

Enjoyed

Gloria

AAAAAAAAaaaaaaHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! (And that's just for the title of this witty poem!) Fake gnus indeed! I am w-a-y behind, so Ima rush now. I can't EVER catch up though, not here. Gremlins abound on FS for me for some inexplicable reason (aside from the fact that I'm pretty sure a couple 'a folks have it in for me, English not being their forte. LOL!!!)

Maybe Prissy is sabotaging you? Perhaps she isn't getting all the attention that she so richly deserves, and appropriately demands? Thanks once again! ;-)

Your poem makes a valid point about news, Craig. Good job with a current problem that many just don't get. Your word is a great pairing with the lines and picture. I agree with your thoughts. Thanks for sharing. Jan

Hi Craig. I really like this one. Well written and illustrated. "Anfract" is a good word. Especially in delivering the news to the populace, accurate (without spin) reporting is extremely important. The old days of 'reporting' the facts has gone by the wayside. Marilyn

Well done, CD.... the play on words catches the reader and the verse keeps them. Good job on your theme and presentation. This political/media satire is fun to read and resonates too. Regards,

Melissa

A very well-written Limerick. There are many people who ignore the facts when they have to make a choice to be honest or to take a chance in dishonesty to gain something for themselves.
