Maybe Lemme and James Hetfield get onstage and sing these lines together with the new line up of Metallica backing them up in the ballad? I could see it? I could also see Kirk Hammett playing some guitar riffs specifically melodic ones. Not sure if you were a Metallica fan in the day? But Kirk also has a smooth sounding vocal too. With the Lemme overlay it could be something special. I really like the way you structure your lyrics and you have a true vision when you are writing this style Yvette. I was having to scroll through quite a large portfolio of wins as well to find this one. Thank you for sharing the additional song. I am grateful that I get exposed to such talent at the tips of my fingers. Cheers, Fonda

I am clearly voting for this. Something about this reminds me of Ther Weather in My Head by Donald /Fagen I wonder if anyone else besides you & I who recited these lines aloud following the director's cues as to how to recite this, and with which voice tone. This is very cleverly orchestrated. Your knowledge of music composition and artists is obvious with many allusions to other lyrics. This is well written and very enjoyable.

Good Morning, dude! I am so very glad that you enjoyed my 'Rock Ballad' -- I certainly had fun writing it! :) ;) Goodness knows there were any number of rockers flowing in my veins and head as I composed this crazy thing, but, since it seems to be pretty well received, I was thinking about contacting Jimmy Page or Steve Clark...whatcha think? :) LOL!!LOL!! Appreciate the thoughts and well wishes! :) ;) Have a great week! :)

Dear Mystery Writer,

Wellll... there's trouble ahead. I read this song first as I'm going through the entries and now the others will have to stand up against it. Ouch. It's gonna be hard to beat this guy. *smile* FAB job. Good luck!

There is a clear message in the lyrics here and no call to repent, as the end is not near, but here.
Your direction for voice contrasts sounds intriguing; hair-standing--on-the-back-of-the-neck worthy.

I love it and want to buy the CD. A hit if ever I heard one and Simon Cowell would be eating his own hand to sign you up, if he heard it. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.

this could be a great hit, I think. let's audition Eric Burden and Van Morrison. some strings behind guitars and a steady bass line. it's a winner..

Jimmy Page doesn't sing. but I do.

Yeah - he was the primary lyricist (I think) that's where that angle came from. :) But, hey!! If you've one of those voices, we'll get Jimmy on lead and make it a hit!! :) ;) Then Cyndy could be an official 'roadie' :) ;) ;) Take care!

I didn't know this was lyrics until I came to the very end and saw, Lyrics Duet, prompt for contest entry. I thought it was a poem, LOL...which, could work, too. It's smooth, tells a great story, has strong rhyme, cadence/meter, and the image chose was excellent. Nicely done, writer. Setting off singer A from singer B was a great help to the reader. I wish you the best of luck in the contest. No, I didn't hear the sky fall, LOL...but, I envisioned it thanks to your well written piece.

Hello there, my friend, this is a fantastic song, I enjoyed it very much. My favorite verse is the first one:
Walkin' 'long the beach, I heard a song
'Bout a hundred million voices strong
It called to me from beyond the waves
Better run now ... it's the end of days
That's some awesome lyrics.
That is a GREAT picture.
When I saw your title, I thought of the movie "Chicken Little" when he says, the sky is falling, the sky is falling. lol. Don't mind me, I think my brain turned to mash potatoes, lol. I better get some sleep.lol Good luck! ~Kerry
