Having a dog and a cat myself, I can understand the angst of either one in welcoming the other--or not. Good job here. Somehow each one learns to tolerate the other. Marilyn

A very well-written poem about the life of a dog that become miserable when the new kitten arrives, he could hold his position for a while, until the cat decides it is her kingdom and dog has to bow.

To be or not to be, that's quite the question...This is a neat little poem....
I didn't come across any pesky 'glitches' along the way...
It flows along just fine... The poor dog has quite a dilemma...

Love that poem, I do not have a cat but that is a true story. Good luck in the contest. Good flow of words makes it a fast and interesting read. Many dogs and cats get along.

I like how this tale is told from the view of a dog, I used to own a kennel but strangely I've traded canines for felines. It is wonderfully imaginative. The whole piece flows smoothly from beginning to end. Great picture! Loved everything about it!

Absolutely sweet poem. I like the choice of words to describe the cat. They create really vivid images about the snooty feline. The rhyming scheme gives a nice rhythm to the poem. I wouldn't change anything or add anything to this poem.

I love how you have become the injured party here--the dog. You evoke sympathy for him and contempt for the arrogant cat. Great characterization of both through their actions. An interesting format chosen for your poem that certainly seems appropriate.
