Hi Bill. I am so far behind in reviewing. Just getting to this. Something different from you. I believe you are right. I have never tried to be published. I imagine upon my departure, my poetry will not be read by anyone. Good job. Thank you for sharing

We are known, Pam. People read us and it cost us a few bucks a year to get the adoration of our peers. We?re a nonprofit.

I'm not sure what to think. It seems as if the first stanza does not belong with the others, as it states the efforts are pointless. The rest seems to build a more positive statement.
At any rate, your poems and stories enrich the lives of those who read them. Isn't that what art is meant to do?

An excellent write, Bill. Maybe we should stop right here and chuck the computer out the window. Most likely, only a small percentage will every get published. Hmmm! Food for thought. Marilyn

You wrote a poem about me..how nice! You could be talking about any of us really...I feel as you do. I'm as addicted to FanStory however, so published eventually or not, I will continue on.

Bill, This is a very well written poem about all the time you spend on reading and writing your poetry. My favorite lines were:
One day I'll be a famous author
like Dr. Seuss or Jeffy Chaucer
like Patterson in ev'ry genre
Aussies will say "Hey, Good on ya!"
Keep on writing my friend! Blessings, Teri

Love your humor and bright presentation, Bill. We can all relate. If our friends and family are happy to read our works, that may be a good enough goal for me.

This is a fun read Bill, about the writing, writing from dusk to dawn, but seeming to not get anywhere with it. I always say my writing keeps me sane, (well I hope it does LOL). Loved the colourful presentation, were you channeling Dr Suess. Keep writing, and most important, having fun with it.
cheers

This is a witty poem about the time we take to write and all we do do get inspired to write. It shows how most writers doubt their abilities.
Keep writing and reading. Both are honorable uses of time.

Hey Bill none of us are there yet, this could be used as a theme for all of us. But for some reason we all keep plugging away at it. This would have been a good contest entry.
