Sorry I missed this one Bill. It ''twas before I had you fanned. I can see why this won the humorous 5-7-5! Superbly done and hysterical! I hope you are well. Watching for your new writings. I have been trying so,e new things. Shorter flash fictions and a new mini novella series in the genre of crime fiction. I hope you can stop by and lay your expert eyes on them. It has been a difficult week of illness and more noticeable sight loss for me. The good that I cling to is that I can still write. A tremendous blessing. I hope you are well and good--

So sorry to hear about your health and eye problems. I guess about all we can do is keep a strong faith and never give up. My wife keeps reminding me that there's no place in the Bible that states life will be a bowl of cherries.

Absolutely hilarious! The picture is perfect for the piece. On the day my mother finally had it with my father and she was leaving him, he yelled out "You'll be back." She answered him in a very non-christian way. I was shocked because I never heard her curse before. She thrust her finger into the air and said, "Fuck you Earnest and that's the last time you'll be getting it from me."
I was very proud of her.

I'm really sorry to hear that about your Mom and Dad, but sometimes things just don't work out no matter how hard you try.

I'm one of the lucky ones. The good Lord blessed me with a wonderful woman and I'm very thankful for her. As of last Monday, we've been together for 51 years.

Thank you so much for the welcome. I have really enjoyed FanStory and it has the feeling of an extended family. May I wish you a happy belated Anniversary and commend you and your wife for being an amazing example of what marriage should be and rarely is these days. In a few months my husband and I will reach our 13th Anniversary. In all that time we've only argued four times (one being over how many times we have argued). ;) I hope we are as blessed.
