This one-six-one, First Date, has the syllables in the right places and takes us all back to that time when what we desired became what w acquired. Nice.

It is neat when they sweep you off your feet. I remember telling my husband that I never wanted to get married. Six months later I was making hints about how I wanted a ring. Oh how things can change. Great job

Cute, sentimental write, author. Nothing not to like. The rhyme is good, the syllable count, perfect. The content was poetically sweet and enchanting. Finally, the presentation was solid. That image created a backdrop to your penning that escalated the write. Good job and good luck in the contest.

And this was just the FIRST date? Neat! I like the choice of words the Speaker uses. "Sweet" and "neat" suggest she was young and is describing an event from a much earlier time, say the 50s.

This is a very good use of the one-six-one syllable count format. You've told a nice story, fully expressed in eight words (aided, intelligently, by the title). The words "sweet" and "neat" have a sort of youthful innocence, that heightens the image of this being a first date.
