"What you talkin' about, Willis?"
This "masked bandit" is the friendliest little visitor at our feeders and in our yards! :)
Now... Mr. Bluejay is another bandito altogether! Aloof. Piggish. Nasty...but we still love him!
Loved you 5/7/5!
Happy Sunday!

Okay, Diane -- you just made me laugh out loud!! :) Haven't heard that phrase in so long...said it once a while back to my boys and they looked at me like I was from Mars! :) ;) Our little guys are always so very impatient...pushing aside some of the finches when they are taking to long on a perch. Now, the cardinals, they run from, but they usually give them a little holler first!!! :) And you're right about the blue jays being mean, but they never come to our feeders -- hear them all around and see them flying in the yards (front and back), but none on the feeders. :) ;) But, oh my goodness what a beautiful bird - he's magnificent for his size!! :) ;)
Thanx for dropping by, ma'am - so good to hear from another 'bird observer' that the little fellas entertain! :) Enjoy the rest of your weekend in observation of all of nature's wonders! :) ;) Yvette :)

without patience, eh? Vocal? Not familiar with the bird, but the arrangement is accurate and the display is a cohesive one. He does look a bit fierce for such a little fellow, and he may steal the win, lol. Good luck and thanks for promoting your entry.

Very good. The chickadees at my feeder do seem to be a little hyper. Some birds bang into the glass door to call attention to it being empty. Nicely constructed. Good luck in the contest. Marilyn

Yes chickadees certainly lack patience, constantly busy, looking for an easy feed.
A wonderful 3-5-3 poem, beautifully structured with excellent imagery.

A wonderful poem for the Nature 3-5-3 contest, the Chikadee, a wee bird you have named the masked bandit because of its plumage, waiting patiently, a delightful poem, love Dolly x

LOL - I think you are onto something with your claim that this little bird lack patience. They do seem to scold, and it's actually cute. I guess calling them masked bandits fits too, since the face does look like it's masked. Good luck in the contest with this charming poem.

These little birds certainly seem to punch above their weight. We have blue wrens here with very similar behaviour. They strut around, full of self-importance.

An apt description of the chickadees as a "wee masked bandit San patience." He certainly "attacks" my feeder in such a manner, scaring off other birds.
