This is so cute! Family poetry, yes, but also reads like a children's poem. Love the whole second stanza detailing the parents "poking behind" - that's fabulous! Also love the last stanza... hot fudge brownies sound divine! Just curious about "com' on" -- If you're removing the e, I think it's to bring the two words together?? Might be com'on all one word... just a small thing that caught my eye... no biggie!!!! I really enjoyed this fun poem!!! (and your author's note -- which could have been a stanza!!!)
