I just told someone that I thought that they would win. Their entry for the flower contest is so good. But, I was wrong. This columbine is the winner. Everything about it is perfection.

    I hate to say it, Beautiful Friend, but did you actually peek at the final results...? I do thank you for your wonderful review, and I am certainly glad you enjoyed it. :) :) This one was a bit of an experiment, but I was quite pleased with how it came out! :) :) Again, I keep reminding myself that the results don't really mean everything....! ;) :) LOL! :) :) Hope you're caught up on life and enjoying being back home -- take care! :) ;) Yvette

Beautiful work up for your poem the flower is so beautiful. Good luck in the contest it is a pretty nice picture that's for sure.

Love your 5/7/5 tribute to Colorada's state flower = columbine! Your 5/7/5 is incredibly creative and fun! My son and daughter-in-law live in Colorado, and although I have visited many times, I always seem to miss the blooming of the columbine, but surely it is one of my favorite flowers. And you have created a fitting tribute!

This is a good poem for the contest, Mystery Author. Good job on the correct syllable count per line. Nice use of colored fonts. The picture is super. The title must refer to the fact the columbine is the state flower of Colorado. Good job and best wishes. Jan

I read another flower poem entry that explained what flower of choice meant, just a thought.5-7-5 format doesn't give you an opportunity to fully develop a poem. Good luck in the contest.
