As the saying goes, the trick is to want what you have. That's contentment. New word, "auripotent." Love the image of the beautiful dog. As long as dogs have their food and their beloved pet parent--they are auripotent. Marilyn

Hi Craig. From your poem and the potent in the word, I guessed it's meaning. One of your shorter efforts. I have written several with this theme. If you are happy with what you have, you are the richest person on earth. Good job. Thank you for sharing

Comment from Gloria ....
Aw that is the cutest little doggie. Love his blond face and happy eyes.
Shakespeare always has the best quotes and this is no exception.
This is a terrific Sapphonic Triad and I agree with you about the rain, although shingles might be a little softer sounding. lol
Great job, Craig. Much enjoyed.

I've never had shingles, and I hope never to get them!
Seriously, though, for some reason, shingles are extremely uncommon here. In suburbia, it's pretty much all terracotta tile, rural areas are a mix of that and tin (steel, these days). On farms, it's almost exclusively metal roofs.
Many thanks, Gloria.

So true, our riches are not in material wealth and we can count our blessings on one hand and all we have to do is appreciate the real wealth in life, a poignant write introducing a new word for us, love Dolly x

Hey, Craig,
I read through this sapphonic triad, a strong message and pleasing flow, really like the spin of verbiage on getting what you want, versus wanting what you have.
The theme matches up with the word of the day in a positive way, which will cast a shadow on the love of money over the gift of happiness, and that happiness is a frame of mind that the truly rich posses, even if they are dirt poor.
There's an old sign that used to be on my mom's kitchen that sticks in my head... My kitchen is clean enough to be healthy, and dirty enough to be happy. I think my finances live by the similar rule... full enough to be healthy, empty enough to appreciate anything I have.
Nice job with this, I enjoyed reading, even though I can't seem to get a good handle on my schedule to do it more often.

Hi Turtle,
I'm always grateful when you get the chance to review, it lets me know you're ok.
I like your mom's sign. My other half has one which reads "I understand the concept of housework, I just don't understand how it applies to me". There's also another one that reads "Life is full of challenges. Being happy shouldn't be one of them."
Thanks for the wonderful comments, and the lovely award of six stars.
Craig

VIRTUAL SIX! Excellent job on this Sapphonic Triad, Craig! It is true, the richest person is the one who is most content and thankful with/for his/her life.
I love the picture. I once had a Golden Retriever (named Goldie) that looked just like this sweet thing . This write touches the heart, and you conveyed the meaning of this word (auripotent) very well.
Cheers,
Connie

This poetic form is growing on me, and I like what you have to say. Its an important thing for readers to know, that money just creates more desire. Ben Franklin was a wise man. I like that the picture you use has absolutely nothing man-made in it. This is a beautiful, well composed package :-)

You're welcome!
Are you putting these
in an actual book?
Forgive me if that
info is on your profile
page.

I'm not planning on making a "real" book from all of these. The FS book is just a means of grouping them. To be honest, I don't think they are all of publishable quality. I have just published a book that has a number of my favourites from this collection, and others, though. There's a link in my profile if you're interested. Thanks for asking :)

I will check, thank you!

Just ordered your book :)
...so excited.

WOW, thank you for that! I really hope you enjoy it :)

Well written sapphonic triad with a great message! And I like the word which I think I recognize as a mix of Latin for gold (aurum) and powerful (potens). One could be rich in gold but poor in the real treasures of life.

You are indeed right about the gold part, Helen. And although the book doesn't specifically discuss it, I'm sure about the powerful part as well. Many thanks for the great review. Craig
