Thank you for the excellent visual. Your choice of words is impeccable. I was told by another poet on this site that your work was worth reading. I have to thank him for the recommendation. Excellent job!!

Thank you so much for stopping in and for the wonderful comments, Marie -- always welcome and appreciated! :) :) I'm trying not to be too sad that summer's leaving...but as long as Fall doesn't get too cold too soon, I'll be brave and take it!! :) LOL!! Have a great weekend of watching the seasons change from your venue!!! :) :)

Hello Mystery Poet!
Your Sedoka offering is beautifully crafted. It is filled with keen visual and emotive imagery. I live in northern Michigan, and just today - as I looked outside at the spitting rain and snow - I folded summer beach towels, putting them away until next summer.
Best wishes in the contest: your presentation is lovely.

I love the autumnal colors you used for the words in your piece; from green to orange, from light to dark from dark to light. This was so creative, it's very structured!

You're killing me! Our sixes are so meagerly assigned, you'd think they cost the site to allot them. But this is a SPLENDID poem, in every respect. It evokes the most wonderful imagery, and your presentation is simply elegant!
OUTSTANDING!

-Nice image and presentation.
-The syllable count is good.
-The imagery is effective and
creates a good picture of autumn,
as "summer slips away."
-I like the personification
in the poem, as well.
-A good example is the
blankets unfolding their warmth.
-Good luck in the contest.

I like how you have contrasted the seasons by showing how blankets are used (or put away) in each and how warmth has morphed into "crispness." also, one seasons "slips away" as the other flat-out arrives.
