I thought this was a very clever way to introduce a poem. Not only that, the poem itself was excellent. It's nice to read poetry with humor in it. Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much for the encouraging review! I appreciate it, being among so many outstanding poets made me a bit nervous. Boo said I did well. He was pleased. Granted me my head, at least until next Halloween!

Thank you for the kind review and comments. I was nervous being among so many outstanding poets. This truly was my first. Boo even liked it. He said I could keep my head! What a ghost!

Fun and really funny. I love the last line-- as all shadows disappear sooner or later. I am not an expert on Tanka but this entry is "just on time", naturally flowing and humorous.

Of with his head, gosh we are a gory lot - lol truly speaking have had some of these and they leave my nerves jangling. We had a ghost in a house I lived in as a child that house haunted me for years. Keep on with the poems otherwise he will be back

Thank you Ronnie. Yes, Boo is about so watch out. He lost his head, no lie! But, he liked my tanka and is now more friend than foe! We have had fun!
