That is so sweet! Love the artwork. As always I have no adds or subtractions. When I wake up in the mornings part of my routine is to check out the new reads on FanStory. I sure wish all parents realized how important they are to their children and act accordingly. However, it doesn't always work out that way.
Happy Writing,
Katy

This is a lovely thought. It is so reassuring for readers who have wondered how to define parenting, this is is. We can gain example from Jesus as he speaks of how he is our shepherd. If parents could follow this example, then children would grow up within this learned behavior and they too will become shepherds for their children. This will begin a wonderful cycle. Well written.

I like the sense of family and feeling of safety that is engendered, whether one is talking of a nuclear family here on earth or God's wider family. I see a sense of both in your poem. Perhaps the title might be repeated as the first line of the poem, to provide greater continuity.

"Fear not(,) precious flock."
What a special and heartfelt beseeching, dear rhonnie. I love the image and the sentiment. Yes, parents can be shepherds when alive, but also in death. They become our angels...eternally mindful of our needs and trials. Their wings give us strength beyond the veil and under the veil. Your words are so delicate and timely. The entire presentation was wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

Hey again, Rhonnie! I see that you created another beautiful poem. Let this poem RISE and the sky FALL. I love the image you chose for this one. - Anntonette
