Well written your memory of Carolyne. She will forever look over your shoulder just to see you well. Nothing ever dies, transformation is from feet of clay to spirit at play. Best wishes, K.

It's always so painful, when someone leaves us so suddenly. There's no time to prepare, to accept what's coming. Or perhaps we're in denial, as you say:
Or was that non-action
A figment of imagination
Swirling in the cloud of denial?
I know I've felt guilt when I think I could have done something. But then again, maybe we really can't or couldn't do anything, and our loss and guilt are just trying to lay blame. Memories will be your comfort. Ann Marie

I have to say that this poem touched me so much. It's incredibly hard to lose someone you love, especially when it's not expected. The emotional impact comes through in this poem.

I'm sorry for your loss, but she was lucky to have had such a loving friend. I love the details you use to describe her life, i.e., books and puzzles and photo albums. The things they keep around them tell so much about a person, and you've paid your friend a lovely (and well-written) tribute.

Hello Friend,
What a very moving and poignant tribute to your friend whose passing came unexpectedly and far too soon. My sincere condolences. Your tribute is filled with keen visual imagery and leaves the reader with a sense of how life will be forever changed by Carolyn's absence...
Thank you for sharing...

I come from a large extended family. The death of an elderly member doesn't affect me as much of the death of a younger member. Those of use in the latter stages have lived our lives. The younger, especially under thirty never got the chance. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words making for a very good read.

I'm sorry I've used up all of my six star ratings for this week. This poem hits almost all the criteria I rate poems on. It makes sense, it touched me emotionally and it's definitely spiritual Sorry for your loss.

When best friend die and we must move on we never forget the great memoried or the bond there was between us. It always remains with us and they are truly missed.

First of all, sincere sorrow for the loss of someone so close to you. You have conveyed the pain very well and honored her life and her memory so eloquently in this poem. The pain is visceral and is delivered directly here. A bitter sweet poem. Well done and sorry again for your loss.

Lo my cousin died last month. There's not a day I don't think about her and miss her.
My sister and I feel so lost ...we were the three musketeers growing up. Dear friend I will be praying for you with the loss of your sweet confidence boosting friend, Caroline.
Hugs and hugs
