Always tough to say something important in so few words. Not sure it gets fear across. But it does present a realistic picture of how some battered women act. My sister was one-thank god she managed to get away.

Great story! Unfortunately I think this happens too too often... and it's easy to see once it's too late what he is capable of... And I love the line, "besides she still loved him" Really nicely done!
