Wow! You make it sound so fun and actually manageable. If I think about it, I know I don't use many things that are in the house - some are gifts and most just have some sentimental value. You don't have room for sentimental stuff. I guess you keep that in your writing on your laptop. Congratulations on being nominated for the Book of the Month!

Thank you so much Helen for your great review. I guess the bottom line is a girl has got to do whatever is needed. (smile)

You know Alie, I'm learning so much about you and Jim in this story. It is very educating and I'm enjoying it. Keep it coming. My husband, the father of my five children, decided we would travel around Australia, so we bought a 35ft caravan. It wasn't large enough and the three boys slept in a tent beside the truck. But I loved it to death. When the repo man came and towed it away I was devastated. Yours sounds so much nicer.
Love U Anne.

Wow, you, your husband and five children in one camper. I am sure it was cramped quarters and can understand why the boys slept in a tent. I used to do that years ago, sleep in a tent or even a sleeping bag under the stars. When I was little and learning the native ways, I was taught how to sleep under a blanket of leaves. Oh how sad that the repo man came for it. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing and sharing this with me.

Your camper sounds great. Must be a large one to hold a kingsize bed. So, you travel the country from state to state without ever leaving home. What fun that must be. And much easier than stopping at motels along the way. :)

Thanks Phyllis for reading and reviewing. I will admit that there are days when I look at a motel longingly lol, now I consider staying in a motel as a vacation lol.

This chapter in the 'Book of Life' "Clothing" was well written and exceptional.
It read well and Flowed well with no grammar issues as well.
Adjective Content and Objective Content were both excellent and exceptional while Descriptive Measures aligned perfectly.
Thanks for this and have a Blessed day.

Interesting about the tire tax? Every state including Tasmania pays registration on their vehicles. Commercial drivers have to go through a weigh - bridge to make sure their load is true. I find My Life a lesson for us Down Under. Keep on writing my friend! Blessings, Kay.

Hi Alie. This is a super, super write. Clear, descriptive and interesting. I think you could write articles for an RV magazine and get them published because you're so knowledgeable. I loved your trick of the bra/panty bag. We women are clever. Thank you for the description of your home on wheels which shows efficiency, comfort and compactness but with creature comforts. Great job. Marilyn

Thank you Alie for writing about your life on the road. What I've wished for from time to time is just to go and disappear into the outdoors away from all the people. To be one with nature. Then... I wake up. I'm too damn old and the bed's fine. I get to eat morning, noon, and night. I also hate snakes and spiders. I like tarantulas though.
Thank you for letting me dream.

You are so welcome to the dream. Thank you for reading, reviewing and your great comments. I guess when I was really young and with my ancestry I learned a lot about nature and got to live with it and now I am able to travel the country and see the beauty of it. A raised cup of tea to nature.

It is just great to know how the other half lives. I am intrigued as to the power sources for all these appliances. In my little camper I had a fridge that worked off the mains electricity if on a hook up, which was very rare, battery when the engine was running and off gas when it wasn't, except that lighting the gas was almost an impossibility and the pilot light would blow out if the thing wasn't absolutely stable and level.

On the boat during my recent vacation we used gas all the time and because the water was dead calm the pilot light staid on once lit. You seem to have have a mass of electrical gadgets so Do you have a generator and doesn't that keep everyone up all night?

Please tell me how you solve all these problems. Oh yes we had solar power on the boat too but that just ensured that there was poer on the battery to start the diesel engine.

Thank you for reading, reviewing and your kind comments and interesting comments.. In most cases we are connected to a power source in the park. When we are travelling the camper is connected to the truck, both have battery sources if needed and I think the camper batteries will run for 24 hours without hooking to an electrical source. During travel times only the fridge runs off the batteries. We do have a small generator we use if we absolutely have to stop over night and a park is not available. Yes it is noisy, since it is on the back of the truck and the bedroom in the camper is in the 5th wheel hitch area. In our former camper, the fridge was operated on gas when electricity was not available, not so with this one. In most cases the parks provide both 50 watt and 30 watt services and we tend to go with 50 watts, we do have a converter box that allows us to use 30 watt if that is all there is. I cheat and let Jim deal with all that lol. I will add this to another chapter, in case anyone is curious. Thanks for asking.

Did you have trouble with lighting the gas?
reply by the author on 03-Oct-2018
We never had a problem with the pilot light, but there was a different issue that most of the gas equipped fridges had to have a recall service and then it was okay.
