Whew! Congratulations on your well deserved win! This is a beautiful, sad, and very powerful poem with perfect use of artwork. I hope you will submit it somewhere - it deserves to be read by many, many people. (Especially older kids)

Excellent turn here from a mirror capturing all that is beautiful and innocent to being used as an enabler to a tragic death. This is a well thought out write and cleverly executed. Though shocking there's a smooth transition from the light to the dark. Nice job.

Thank you for the fantastic review and the gracious six, Lynda. Yeah, I'm sure this made many of the people on here disappointed, lol. They expected happy pretty crap and give them something real to ponder. "Oh no, the poem turned and now I hate it. Click away, hurry, click away." Haha. Who cares. Reality happens. A very sad story..is it based on something true? Nevertheless it happens all time.Their are so many victims of addiction, not just the one addicted but also the families and friends. This is a very well written and emotional poem. Good luck in the contest.
