HA! I'm one who's always on a diet or thinking about diets or magic pills that don't exist, so I could not skip this poem. I love poetry, but not all kind. Humorous poetry is not easy to find. The 'not eating' part is what my husband tells me all the time. :)

Oh, do I agree with the Speaker in this poem. When you are trying to diet, you must think and speak and act in a positive manner or you will fail. I like the cynical tone in your last line.

I love your humor here. This is the perfect use of irony. Sometimes attitude is simply not everything. Attitude helps though. That, and not eating.
Personally, I love Charlene's attitude toward losing weight. Serves those scales right.
