This is a nice work indeed and means a very beautiful concept with expressive words in use, I liked.
But, I find, there is violation of condition of the contest.
This entry has failed to use the given word 'scribe' and instead, there is use of the word as 'scribes'.
As there is clear mention to write poetry using these 2 words: 'scribe' and 'express' and in author's notes, poet has also confirmed this.
To remind, there is expressive mention in the prompt, use these two words and it is clear a contestant has to use the two words in writing the poetry, any change in use of the word in any form is an assumption or presumption and it is a violation of the express condition for the contest.
As the word has been used in changed condition, on right use of the word 'scribe' the poetry will have another violation of condition that is violation of 71 characters as required, when the poetry will have 70 characters instead of 71.
There is no mention that a contestant can use the word changing in any form like scribe as scribes or scribed or scribing or scriber or scribers, etc.
In term of spirit of condition, there is evident violation of rule.
I am sorry, I cannot rate this work more than two ** stars.
Please do not take it personally, I have rated the work fairly and I have explained the reason. Hope this helps.

An insanely difficult task to match the character, word and line count of someone else's poem and still write something original and smooth flowing, but you did just that. I do feel from experience, you'll be questioned for using "scribeS" instead of "scribe". You might want to take a look at that and see if you can fix it. A strong entry though. Good luck. :)) mike

you could have used "Scriptorium" but that would eat up a lot of syllables. I think you did a great job and wrote an excellent poem, ElaineC4..............meeshu

Inspiring words that meet the challenge of the contest's rules-- remarkable. The written Word lives on and continues to inform, uplift, share the Good News. This poem is a winner!
