You've certainly captured the true nature of autumn (no pun intended) in your well written, nicely presented ode to autumn 5-7-5, Anonymous Poet.
Best of luck to you in the contest.

Thank you for your review.

A simple poem where a little goes a long way. You've painted a vibrant picture in the mind's eye of the reader. I can hear the applause of the bright rustling leaves as the wind blows through them, and I can feel my own applause as I show my appreciation of nature for such a show. Nicely done.

Going back many years, Fall was always something very special. Shuffling through the leaves on the way home from school, leaves burning in driveways and streets and of course the approach of Halloween. Very nice illustration. Good luck.

You bet.

I like what you are trying to say here, but I do not READILY see how all these trees make up a concert or hear how the winds "orchestrate." Keep working on this.

The sound of wind through the trees creates the music for the show of the changing leaves. Thank you for your review, sorry you didn?t understand my poem.

I am currently writing a poem like yours titled ?The Song of Autumn.? I can hear that song, but as of yet all the readers I have given it to cannot. It comes down to the poet?s choice of words and concrete details. Words like ?concert? and ?orchestrate? seem specific and clear, but in reality are vague and abstract.

A truly wonderful 5-7-5 ode to autumn contest entry. To me it seems flawless in its execution of both words and the picture it paints, aside from the artwork. Best of wishes in the contest.
